The Auctions America returned to Los Angeles for a long awaited California car sale on July 17th and 18th at the historic Barker Hanger in Santa Monica. The event presented a diverse roster of 300 quality collector cars and historic memorabilia. Being a “Vette” Ryde Guy, I was most interested in the Corvetes on display and fascinated by the action of the bidding. A bit disappointing was the number of classic Corvettes that were offered for sale at this event.
My good friend, Roger Berry from St. Pete, was in town visiting and alerted me to the auction. We had a great day together sharing car stories and watching the action on the floor and in the VIP lounge. I had a blast photographing headlights and once in awhile a tail end.
We rounded out the adventure with dinner at the Old Place on Mulholland Highway in Agoura Hills. I highly recommend this hidden gem. Very genereous portions served in a bar saloon scene right out of the late 1800s.
Like it? Then share it!
Can’t wait to check out The Old Place. Thanks for the tip!
Thanks for taking a look. More posts this week on leadership an FIRST robotics.
